How to find the products to sell from Chinabrands?

If you’re looking for the best thing to sell online, chances are “sandals” isn’t the answer. That’s not to say a certain type of shoes won’t be a hot seller, just that having a broad selection of general merchandise isn’t going to bring in big profits. That’s why people go to Amazon. If you want a hot product, you need to sell to a niche: something like “Leather and Cork Surf-Ready Beach Sandals.”
According to Entrepreneur.com, “Niche marketing not only provides startups with an opportunity to launch the business successfully, but can also help them grow into major players in a larger market. Healthy, profitable businesses such as Traulsen, Aman Resorts, Zamboni and Peet's Coffee and Tea all serve thriving niches.”

To make money on eBay, sell items that have more people wanting to buy it, than sellers selling it. In other words, sell items that have a high demand but low supply.

But how do you check if an item has a high demand, but low supply? One of the tools I have in my "Online Selling Toolkit" is the #1 eBay research tool, Terapeak. And in this video tutorial, Sarah Chrisp shows you step-by-step how to use Terapeak to find the best items to sell on eBay:
Learn important things such as:
  • Whether the seller competition is easy, medium or hard.
  • The average selling price.
  • The average selling success rate.
Now that we know what to look for in Terapeak, we need to brainstorm products/ideas to throw into it. A great way to do that is to use Amazon's top 100 products.

What I suggest you do is take a random product category from Amazon's top 100 productsand put each of the items/products it recommends into Terapeak. Analyze enough items and you’ll find several that meet my selling criteria. 

Pick great items like this to buy in bulk at wholesale, and you can’t help but make money because you’ve ensured ahead of time that they’ll be easy to resell. 

If you're interested in importing from China, keep reading, because I'm going to tell you 5 niches that Chinese manufacturers specialize in:
  • Hair ProductsRazors, scissors, cutting tools, combs, bushes, hair dryers, hair iron and curling tongs. This is a niche that goes under the radar a lot - there are tonnes of opportunities here!
  • Phone & tablet cases/accessories: Apple & Samsung products are the most popular. If you like to pick up and flip phones/tablets, then consider getting some accessories/cases to upsell to your customers to improve your profit margins.
  • Small electronics: Power Banks, bluetooth speakers and headphones are very popular right now and still have long-term potential. You can import and sell memoryproducts which are also very popular (like USB/Flash drives) but keep in mind that these become outdated quite fast.
  • Jewelry: Cheap jewelry that doesn't use precious stones/materials (especially necklaces and bracelets).
  • Clothing: In most cases, the cheapest clothing you'll find to import will come from China (though occasionally factories in countries like India can rival them). Try to avoid generic clothes (like t-shirts) and find niches (e.g. hunting clothing).
